Retail-Store sales displays

Tropical Memories, Sarasota, Florida, September 2009 to Present
Chelle Moreno, along with parents Bud and Jeannie, are the bubbly and voluble proprietors of this jazzy and vibrant store on historic St. Armand's Circle. You can find 60 of Dean's large-format greeting cards, all reproductions of his paintings and fuzzy photography. Chelle and Company also sell beautiful Caribbean art, painted-metal wall hangings, hand-painted glass, scarves and table cloths from Ecuador and Peru, Panama hats, and many other brightly colored and creatively designed tropical works of art.

Jewelry Design Center, Sarasota, Florida, October 2009 to Present
Irene and Russell design some of the most unique and beautiful jewelry anywhere. If you can dream it, they can design and produce it. Don't mind the Doberman. He's a good dog . . . long as you're not walking off with something gorgeous without paying. They also have about 100 of Dean's greeting cards on hand.

art Shows, galleries, etc.

Bird Key Yacht Club, Sarasota, Florida, February-March 2009 and 2010
Three paintings, prominent display in main hallway. This was my first showing of these new painting, a members-only display at a prominent yacht club in town, where Alexandra and I are members. There were about 100 different works of art, many of them gorgeous, so I was proud to have my own artwork among those highly talented artists.

formal permanent DISPLAYS

Derek's Culinary Casual, Sarasota, Florida, October 2008 to Present
It's not often an artist gets a one-man show in a prominent room in the coolest restaurant in town. When Derek suggested the venue, I jumped at the opportunity, knowing full well that I would be usurping a lovely piece of artwork done by his father: a mercator projection of the earth in metal sculpture. It was beautiful! Now, all the patrons--uh, males only--who venture into the men's room can view one of my works, State Street, 11:23 pm. Ladies, please call Derek to book a personal viewing. Of course, you could always just sneak in. . . .
